Moderate to Heavy snow in Chicago this evening will move into mid-MI, engulfing the US-127 corridor from south to north between 9PM and 11PM. Steady snow is expected all night near and north of Alma, with accumulations by late Wednesday morning ranging from 3-7 inches, highest north and west of Mount Pleasant. Snow will become lighter Wednesday morning before ending between 11am and 1pm. Plan on snow covered roads for the morning commute.
Further south, Lansing and Jackson will see a break in the snow between 1am and 4am after a quick 1-2 inch burst between 9PM and 1AM. Between 5am and 9am, freezing rain and sleet are expected. After 9am, temperatures warm above freezing, changing the wintry mix to rain before ending between 2pm and 4pm. Plan on slippery conditions and icy roads for the morning commute with improving conditions after 9am.
